documentary: Stanley Kubrick’s Boxes I get a kick out of rummaging through the workspaces and archives of creative people to see what makes them tick. This is exactly what Jon Ronson does when he is granted access to poke around Stanley Kubrik’s estate and film his findings. A very intruiging look into the private life of one of the 20th century’s most obsessive flimmakers. from channel4.com...

We’re not much for modern dance around here but this piece (DNA performed in New York, 2007 by Bridgeman Packer Dance) in which two dancers interact with video projections of themselves is a brilliant marriage of technology and choreography. I’ve watched this multiple times and still find it amazing. Music by Grammy Award-winning composer / percussionist Glen Velez.

The Ambition of the Short Story →
“The short story apologizes for nothing. It exults in its shortness. It wants to be shorter still. It wants to be a single word. If it could find that word, if it could utter that syllable, the entire universe would blaze up out of it with a roar.”
